• Description:

  We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and pro-active Linux Server Administrator with an excellent 'can-do' attitude to join our team. As part of our infrastructure support team you will be responsible for the administration of our Linux servers. This is your chance to work for a great company with smart people on many web-hosting Linux servers that host thousands of websites/applications. Responsibilities · Complete server setup from scratch. · Work with our support team and servers administrator to ensure, a highly available, secure environment. · Provide technical support to clients. · Perform backup restoration procedures upon the client's request. · Perform scheduled maintenance (i.e. application hotfixes). · Monitor server statistics and scale the environment appropriately · Respond to server/service emergency situations.

• Requirements:

  · Proficiency with Linux, specifically Redhat Enterprise Linux 4,5, and/or Centos 4.x/5.x · Proficiency with Java application servers such as Apache Tomcat, etc. · Knowledge of overall networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS) · Must have a strong understanding of best practices for secure systems design and scalable fault tolerant web architectures · Must have knowledge of established standards and emerging technologies · Must be able to work as a member of a team · Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or Information Systems
